I Wasn't Mugged, Raped, or Beaten! Take That, Murphy's Law!

Today, despite every warning I've ever had, I went to Vancouver by myself today. I was going to check out a vintage store that I'd read about in Marcy's blog, but they'd moved from Granville to Commercial, and by the time I remembered that, I was already at the Granville SkyTrain station. I couldn't be bothered to schlepp my butt back to Commercial, so I decided to check out the mall near Granville, and had an altogether pleasant afternoon. I bought an embroidered skirt for only $11 with tax, and had a veggie bagel sandwich for lunch. Then I decided it was time to go home (I had wet laundry waiting to be put in the dryer) and sauntered back to Granville Station. However, the place was crowded with SkyTrain security, telling everyone that due to a medical emergency at another station, Granville station was closed, and everyone would have to go to Stadium station. Nearly half an hour and several bad directions later, I was finally on a train home. Now my only worry is that my work uniform dries on time. I leave for work in about half an hour, and the uniform was kind of drippy when I pulled it out of the washer ten minutes ago. Let's hope for the best, shall we?
